Storm of Swords was a disappointing third at Market Rasen earlier this month but drops back to sixteen furlongs for todays’ race, returning to a trip where he has a 50% win rate. He has won four from his last six and must be a decent each way shout at current odds of 11/2.
Ittirad deserves his place at the head of the market after three wins and four seconds from his last seven runs. He is passed over today as he has never managed to follow up on a win with another and his last three wins all came with claiming jockeys on board.
Sureness is also worthy of a mention having won two from three over course and distance. She notched up a hat-trick of wins over varying distances last summer but would have to show improvement to get involved today as her runs so far this year have been less than inspiring.
Storm Of Swords (E/W if 9/2+)

Whatdoiwantthatfor looks likely to head the market and although was a three length winner last time out that was over six furlongs and she didn’t really beat anything of note. Richard Hughes Takes over in the saddle but, based on his recent form, is seen in a negative light.
Likely second favourite Fashionable Spirit ran out an easy winner over todays’ trip at Ripon when last seen and has also placed twice over five furlongs to give a strike rate of 75% for top three finishes. With Silvestre De Sousa keeping the ride she is my preference of the two.
The main danger looks to be Fine Blend who won on debut and is the only other previous winner over five furlongs in the field. She will undoubtedly keep improving with experience and would be my choice for the forecast.
Fashionable Spirit (WIN)

Vexillum suffered a ½ length defeat at Wincanton last month but that was his first run for six months and he should strip fitter here. However he is yet to win in eight attempts over todays’ trip and for this reason I am happy to look elsewhere.
Kalifourchon arrives here on the back of a nine length demolition job at Worcester earlier this month and based on that performance should be up to winning again here despite a 7lbs penalty.
Symphony Of Pearls has a 33% strike rate for top three finishes when racing over hurdles and has placed in her last two runs so has to be considered based on recent form. She is, however, 3lbs higher here and is yet to get her nose in front so may find one too good again today.
