MONDAY RACING TIPS

14:35 Kempton

Glajou finally managed to take advantage of his free-falling handicap mark, switching yards to Neil Mulholland. He is not one to have maximum faith in though and he is passed over here.

Frere D’Armes makes his chasing debut today and though quite lightly raced, fences will need to extract some improvement here today and he may be found out by a rival with more experience here.

I’m siding with Casa Tall here each way. The Tom George runner is back down to a winning mark and could very well be great value on his first run of the season.

CASA TALL (E/W)

18:30 Wolverhampton

A poor looking maiden on paper with a few of these looking at low marks after today’s run, one who does not fit that bill is Red Hat Eagle. The colt outran his odds on debut eleven day ago, he was green that day and will be a threat to all granted natural improvement.

Richard Hannon’s runners usually come on a bundle for the first run even with that being said his Zoustar filly Ferensby went off favourite at Newmarket for the debut. She showed evident greenness that day but clearly lots more was expected, the draw has not been kind but I feel she will overcome the outside stall.

FERENSBY (WIN)

19:00 Wolverhampton

Unsung Hero comes into this race looking for a hat-trick but will have to overcome a hike in the weights to do so. The draw has a massive effect over this course and distance and things could have been better for him in that respect.

Bare Necessity is stepping up in trip on his handicap debut but is drawn out wide and will need to be much better than his initial mark to win from out there but has shown winning ability in his novice events.

Starshiba will be the selection here, sporting the first time visor. He doesn’t have the best strike rate but is much more talented than his current mark would suggest and I am picking him to take full advantage of his draw and stamp his class in this field.

STARSHIBA (WIN)
