Away from the live channel 4 races we take a visit to Redcar for our first selection who races in this seven furlong class four handicap. With thirteen runners scheduled to go to post and four previous course and distance winners between them this looks like a tough little handicap.
Order Of Service is one of the four previously successful over track and trip and arrives here in great form having won his last two. He also has a great record over seven furlongs having won almost 30% of career runs over this trip.
Rodrigo De Torres is another who attempts to make it three wins in a row and deserves consideration, although has been raised 7lbs for a one length victory at Musselburgh and has a less impressive strike rate over seven furlongs with just three wins from twenty two attempts.
Sugar Lump is now 1lbs lighter than his last win, which came over course and distance in June. He has ran reasonably well recently despite trying out different trips and should appreciate the return to seven furlongs for todays’ race,

Putting Green has been raised 9lbs thanks to his impressive four length win over twelve furlongs at Doncaster last week although talented young jockey Tom Marquand has been booked for the ride and his 5lbs claim helps to offset a good proportion of this rise. With similar ground conditions to last week forecast he looks sure to make a bold bid to follow up.
However, Wonder Laish has improved with each of his three career starts and only needed gentle persuasion to ease to a fifteen length win at Lingfield in May. Both second and third from that race went on to place next time out so although the race itself possibly wasn’t the strongest the form does at least seem to be holding up well.
Black Key and She Is No Lady also posted respective wide margin maiden victories last time out and warrant respect in a fascinating class two handicap.
Wonder Laish (WIN)

A competitive looking Class 2 handicap is where we find our final selection of the Saturday Weekender.
Mutasayyid and Ashridge Lad occupied second and third spot in a decent looking handicap at Ascot last month with just a length separating the two and, despite rises for both, they look sure to give a good account of themselves again today.
Darrington arrives on the back of a course and distance win and, although that win came on soft ground he has won on good to firm before so should be respected. The biggest concern for him is that he has a 5lbs rise to shoulder today, which seems harsh considering he only beat two opponents in his last race.
Almohtaseb absolutely bolted up at Doncaster last month, winning by a huge seven lengths. This represents a step up in trip but based on the way he pulled away from his rivals in the final furlong when last seen the extra furlong should pose a problem and he could prove tough to beat here.
