PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

14:50 Hamilton Park

We start our day’s previews with a Class four fillies handicap over a mile.

Sarah Joyce and Sallabeh look the two early favorites in the field after both won last time out. The former won around here back in July but that was over nine furlongs and with a penalty to negotiate today she may just struggle to repeat that form again. The latter is another upped for her last win at Haydock last month and is another who now looks high enough in the weights.

Pushingmypatience was impressive when finishing second on her handicap debut four days ago and comes here escaping a penalty; she could be very dangerous racing off the same mark again today and at a price of 7/1 she’s defiantly worth staying with again today.

Secret Lightning had three of these behind when winning at Ripon back in July and should be able to repeat that here again today and is another who looks highly priced with only being three pounds higher from that win.

Rosy Ryan had been knocking on the door until a poor run at Newcastle four days ago where she didn’t seem to pick up when of the bridal but she can’t be dismissed.

15:35 Epsom Downs

Our second preview of the day is a Class four seven furlong handicap.

Ixelles Diamond and Harlequin Striker are the only two previous course and distance winners in the field with the former winning this very race last year; she is only two pounds higher for this renewal and with the step back to this trip after a disappointing run over eight furlongs last time out she should make her present felt today. The latter has to negotiate a small penalty for his win at Ffos Las last time out and only finished fourth in July over course and distance from a pound lower mark so he may just be a little to high in the weights at present.

Live Dangerously has been upped six pounds for his win at Goodwood four days ago and also takes a step up in class for this; he didn’t show anything special when winning last time out and may find a few of these harder to handle today.

Arlecchino’S Leap is another taking a step up in grade but he’s another who is up six pounds from his last win but he does look one that could be progressing nicely and could be one to keep an eye on on the market.

We head back to Hamilton for our final preview of the day a Class two nursery over six furlongs.

Farkle Minkus looks a strong favorite for this after a five length victory at Ayr back in July i’ll be surprised if he isn’t at least even money by tomorrow so it may be better to look else where for some value.

First to post looks the obvious danger after his win at Carlisle two weeks ago and he also has the benefit of his jockeys three pound claim and has to once again go close.

Candelisa is another coming here off the back of a win which was at Ayr back in July; he may find this a little harder today but shouldn’t be dismissed.

Candy Hill has been a little expensive to follow after a lot of promise was expected from her; but she’s placed in three out of the four of her races and this looks like a good race for her to finally get her head in front for the first time and finally give something back to her connections.
