PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

15:30 Lingfield Park

We start our day’s previews with a five furlong handicap.

The top weight Royal Acquisition won this last year and looks to be the early favourite in this after he stayed on well to take the win in a huge field at Redcar in September but he’s penalised more on the polytrack and didn’t seem to be able to produce  from his current mark when last seen around here.

Dark Profit looks very dangerous off his current mark as he won at Chelmsford two months ago off this mark and it wouldn’t take much more today to carry on his winning run.

Harrogate Fair was pulled up last time out and since has spent a long spell away from the tracks but he won the race before that so it may be worth keeping an eye on today if money’s come in for him.

Mossgo has won five times over course and distance in the past and is another that can’t be ignored especially with Kieren Fox on board.

16:35 Lingfield Park

We stay at Lingfield for our second preview a twelve furlong apprentice handicap.

Dennis Coakley won this race back in 2010 and his horse Fanny Again is currently the market favourite; she was sent off favourite last time out but didn’t really have any extra pace in the final furlong and I believe she’ll have that same problem here today.

Novel Dancer had little success when tried over hurdles last time out so it’s no surprise to see him returning back here today; he’s a previous course and distance winner and could be very dangerous if reproducing any of his past form.

Katniss won over course and distance back in August but is now five pounds higher today which she seemed to have struggled on this mark the last three times so should be easy to oppose.

Awesome Rock doesn’t look anything  special but he does produce on this type of surface; his jockey’s claim also puts him down to a very low mark and his inside draw looks very favorable to his style of racing.

17:10 Lingfield Park

We continue to stay at Lingfield for our final preview a ten furlong handicap.

Joe Fanning looks to of sided with Yorkindred Spirit of the two Mark Johnston horses; he regularly in the frame this season but this distance doesn’t look to suit him especially  as he finished eight over course and distance back in September.

Atwix has not really shown much since winning over course and distance on her maiden run but did come close back in July where she finished just behind the winner; she does seem to like it around  here and could be a danger if reproducing past form.

Making Shapes is definitely one that catches the eye; he made all back in May to record his only win to date and with Andrea Atzeni coming here just to ride him suggest that connections have a real positive view that he’ll take to this surface and should go close.

Age Of Elegance is another previous course and distance winner and finished a short head off a two pound higher mark when here last time out; she has really put a spanner in the works as when I first looked at this race I saw Making Shapes as a clear selection but my gut sides with Age Of Elegance.
