Hero’s Story certainly caught the eye here on his most recent outing when making his first start in almost eight months. Held up in the mid division throughout much of the race, he made significant headway before fading in the closing stages. This is the same trip that he ran over on that occasion and he has almost identical ground, so now that he is at peak fitness, a big run is expected.
Donna Graciosa never looked like losing when taking she took up much of the running at Beverley on her most recent start. That was a first career success for the Mark Johnston trained three year old and her confidence will have been boosted in no uncertain terms. Joe Fanning replaces Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle and the duo look a massive threat. It is of note that John Quinn has kept Zaplamation in training and he comes here on the back of a five hundred day layoff. The useful dual purpose performer has gone well fresh in the past and the yard have a thirty percent strike rate at this track. He is certainly worth keeping an eye on in the market.
Hero’s Story has Fergal Lynch on board once again this afternoon and with a recent run under his belt he has to rate high on any shortlist.

Shared Equity has run two solid races already this season and Jedd O’Keefe looks to have found a decent opportunity for him to get off the mark. Graham Lee rides for what will be the seventh time in succession today and following their two most recent outings at Doncaster, they should be pretty much spot on for this. His stamina just ebbed in the closing stages of that latest race and a return to six furlongs looks ideal  for the four year old.
My Name Is Rio improved from his seasonal reappearance and was only just denied at Haydock last time. Connections will be hoping for a bit of rain to enhance his chances and if it arrives he has to be feared. Paul Mulrennan gets on well with the Michael Dods trained five year old and they command utmost respect here. Boy In The Bar ran an excellent second at York last time and certainly deserves his place at the top of the weights. He has improved on each start with Richard Fahey and he should be right in the mix yet again.
Shared Equity should relish this ground and has been a model of consistency in his eight career starts so far. He is the type that can improve further and he should go very close today.

Scoreline was only just touched off over this course and distance last month and yet again he has landed a coveted low draw on ground that he should relish. Whilst he has been more prolific winning on artificial surfaces he has previously won on a good to firm surface at Musselburgh. Josh Doyle is able to take a useful seven pounds off his back and having ridden the four year old in twelve previous races he should know exactly what he has underneath him.
Jan Van Hoof made excellent progress for Richard Fahey last year. Having finished second on his first two starts he comfortably landed his maiden at Wolverhampton at the third time of asking. It could be significant that Paul Hanagan has been booked to ride and he looks likely to go off as favourite. Provided he is fit enough to do himself justice, he could well prove the biggest threat to the selection. Sleeping Apache and Oldjoesaid are previous course and distance winners. The draw has not been so kind to them this time around and they are passed over on this occasion.
Scoreline represents a very much in form yard in that of David O’Meara and he is taken to record a second ever victory on the turf this evening.
