WOLVERHAMPTON DUO SET FOR SUCCESS

17:30 Wolverhampton

Rockett Man won well when dropped back to the minimum trip at Chelmsford last month, under a strong ride from 7lbs claimer Laura Pearson, however the switch back to the tapeta surface isn't guaranteed to suit and this looks a tougher race. As such the preference is for Global Response who ran out a comfortable winner over course and distance last time out, beating the re-opposing Blue Moonrise by three lengths. There looks to be plenty more to come from the James Tate runner so he gets the vote, although Cahors has put in three solid runs at Southwell so would have to be considered a danger if coping with the change in surface.

Going Underground was too far back to mount a serious challenge over course and distance last time out, however did make some late headway and given the winner and third from that race have both won since, he showed enough to suggest he is capable of picking up a race of this nature. He is again partnered with Daniel Muscutt who has been in excellent form in recent weeks and if given a more enterprising ride should be capable of holding off the top-weight Byford and early favourite Yankee Stadium who has now gone six races without success.
