Burmese Waltz won by six lengths over course and distance last August and wasn’t disgraced when sixth of sixteen in a Listed contest at Leopardstown on last run of 2018 so looks to set the standard. If fully tuned up on first run for seven months then he could take all the beating.

Empire Line has only ever raced at Dundalk so with form figures of 22212 in his last five runs and with his jockey claiming 7lbs it would be a surprise if he wasn’t thereabouts at the finish, although may just come up short in this company as despite racing over todays’ trip on four occasions his only victory came over seven furlongs.

For me the most interesting runner is Annabelle Rock who has improved in leaps and bounds in recent months, winning her last three here at Dundalk including an almost four-length victory over todays’ trip last time out. She is partnered with Shane Foley who boasts a level stakes profit of +£33.75 in the last twelve months when riding for the trainer and gets weight from both main rivals so is taken to continue on her upward curve with another victory today.
