SUNDAY WEEKENDER

15:55 Ffos Las Two course and distance rivals do battle once again in the form of Wuff and Henllan Harri. Wuff was the victor last time out but the pair drew clear of the rest of the nine runner field. A rise in weight will make their task trickier this time around and are opposed today. Upswing looks to be the one to be on here after some encouraging third placed efforts in his last two starts. The application of cheekpieces seem to have brought about some improvement and the nine year old now has a handy rating and is bound to go close with Noel Fehily booked for the ride. UPSWING (WIN)

16:40 Naas We end today’s duo with a trip over to Naas to take in a competitive looking flat handicap. Aared is a horse that caught the eye in the early part of last season and bar his final run (on unfavourable softer going) he was very consistent. A horse that looks like he’ll improve with age, on a handicap mark that’s more favourable and with ground that should dry out throughout the afternoon he looks a great each way bet. Needless to say the big danger looks set to be Ezanak who’s unbeaten after his maiden success. This colt out of Sea The Stars has bags of potential and is clearly the one to beat. He represents big connections and deserves the upmost respect however a lot has to be taken on trust after nearly a year away from the racecourse. Both Sister Blandina and Mainicin pose credible threats however it’s Mark Halford’s Hasanour that may strip fitter than his rivals after two decent efforts in Meydan that could fill the placings.
