SUNDAY WEEKENDER

14:40 Epsom The Mark Johnston yard have had a number of eye catching winners over the last few days and their purple patch looks set to continue at Epsom today. They send promising 2yo Dee Ex Bee here looking to gain a second career success and this looks a nice opportunity against some exposed rivals. The form of his debut win is working out really nicely with Richard Hannon’s Rogue enhancing it with a win just last week. The conditions will be ideal for him especially with no other likely pace angle, he may just get to dictate from the front for an all-the-way success here today, so he gets the nod. Regimented looks the pick of the Richard Hannon pair in the race, but the main danger will likely come from Hugo Palmer’s unbeaten Dubawi colt, The Revenant, who looks a horse with plenty potential. DEE EX BEE (WIN)

15:00 Musselburgh The quirky Scottish track near Edinburgh is one where home trainers tend to excel and this trend can continue here today. Keith Dalgleish sends his talented 3yo Lomu here for what looks like a good opportunity to enhance his growing reputation. The Dandy Man colt won at the track on debut over the minimum trip as a 2yo, and despite a poor showing last time out over 1m, the step back to a sharp 7f here will definitely suit and can see him return to his best. The booking of Paul Mulrennan in the saddle is about the most positive sign of a big run you could get for the yard and he gets the confident nod to land this one. Areen Heart rates the main danger on his stable debut for the David O’Meara team. The yard are famous for rejuvenating similar type horses and he would be the most likely to pounce should the selection fail to fire. LOMU (WIN) – NAP
