Warren Greatrex has a 50% winning strike rate in the last twelve months at the course and has had five winners from fifteen over hurdles in the last two weeks. His runner in this race is Groundunderrepair who has placed in all three runs this season and was only beaten by an in-form rival last time out, finishing seven lengths ahead of the rest of the field. Gavin Sheehan takes over in the saddle today and for me this should be enough to make the difference.
Camron De Chaillac has won his last two, stepping up in trip for each, and steps up again under a 7lbs penalty. Given recent form he cannot be ruled out but the extra weight and the longer trip could just leave him vulnerable today.
At an expected bigger price, Culture De Sivola is also worthy of a mention. A winner on only other attempt over this trip and on only previous visit to the course, she looks the most likely to fight it out for the minor honours.
