RACE PREVIEWS & TIPS (THURSDAY)

13:45 SOUTHWELL

This looks a fairly competitive heat for the grade and course specialist, Piazon is sure to have his followers given he has a record of five wins and two seconds over the track and trip. Drawn in stall 14 today it will take a good performance for John Butlers’ charge to add to his impressive tally and he is creeping up the weights, he does look to have more in him however and respect is afforded. Treaty Of Rome only just failed to reel in the aforementioned Piazon here last time, he received a very rough ride that day though and the swing in the weights gives him every chance of revenge. Dungannon is another who likes it around here and is another worthy of respect, his draw makes life tough however so the vote is handed to Treaty Of Rome who is well drawn and surely deserving of a change of luck.

TREATY OF ROME (WIN)

16:10 TAUNTON - (BET OF THE DAY)

Ringa Ding Ding makes his debut here for Paul Nicholls and is easily the most interesting newcomer, well bred and related to some fairly useful bumper types it probably wouldn’t take anything special for him to make a winning start. Hattaab has finished second on both of his starts to date and will likely pick up one of these races somewhere, he needs respecting though he is vulnerable to anything with a bit of class. Gwalia, Represented and Personal Coach are other newcomers worthy of respect and hail from yards who know how to land these contests, all things considered however, Ringa Ding Ding makes most appeal.
