15:20 Hexham A very competitive handicap hurdle awaits us in the last race at Hexham this afternoon where a case could easily be made for any of the ten strong field.
Course and distance winners Beyondtemptation and bottom weight Towerburn both have credible chances based on their form at this venue. The ever consistent Sheriff Garrett never seems to run a bad race and has only finished outside of the top three on two occasions from eight hurdle starts so is bound to be in the mix once again however it’s Ask The Tycoon that looks the most likely to topple our selection. A 3rd placed finish in his last race should stand him in good stead for a crack at this smaller field and looks a very lively danger.
The horse that gets the vote however is very lightly raced and makes his debut for trainer Christian Williams, who grabbed a winner recently. Top jockey Nick Schofield is set to jump aboard Where Now, who finished a credible 4th in Ireland when last seen, and can build upon that effort now that he resides at his new home.
