First Assignment never really managed to get into the race when ninth in the Pertemps last month, quite why or what caused such an indifferent effort is open to debate although he would have every chance judged on his earlier exploits. Tobefair ran a cracker in the aforementioned Pertemps and was only nailed late in the day, his six pounds penalty for that effort makes things tricky though he hasn’t had as hard a season as some. Chameron and Thomas Campbell make appeal of the others, however, given the impression he gave when winning here earlier in the season, it is First Assignment who is handed the vote and his yard have been amongst the winners.
