RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

15:00 Hamilton

Somewhat of a marathon is laid out for the ten horses scheduled to take part in the third race on the card at Hamilton today. The one mile and five furlong trip is longer than most flat runners will race over so it takes a unique horse to conquer this sort of trip.

Trainer David O’Meara finds his horses running well of late and the lightly raced Sunrize should be a tough nut to crack. That being said however without a career win to his name the four year old may be worth taking on and we look to do so in the form of Royal Cosmic. Two fifth placed efforts last month should stand her in good stead as she continues to descend down the weights. Now residing at a weight close to when she last won and with Paul Hanagan booked for the ride Royal Cosmic looks well worth a shot.

Kings Gold aims to go one better than the very eye-catching second placed effort he put in most recently but as with the aforementioned Sunrize is yet to step foot in the winners enclosure so may have to be the proverbial bridesmaid once more.
