RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (TUESDAY)

RACE PREVIEW

CATTERICK 13:05

Ebitda has posted three wins from her last four runs and with her stable in good form it would be no surprise to see another bold display, however a further 3lbs rise and forecast soft ground could bring a halt to the winning sequence.

Ruth Carr has a good record at the course and won a division of this race last season so her runner Racquet, who is now 2lbs below last winning mark, is deserving of a mention although it’s worth noting he is yet to win over the minimum trip.

At an anticipated bigger price I’m happy to take a chance on Culloden who has placed in three from five over course and distance, has winning form on soft ground and has Manuel Fernandes on board, who has won two from three when riding the Shaun Harris trained five year old.

RACE PREVIEW

CATTERICK 15:15 – (BET OF THE DAY)

Richard Fahey has trained the winner of both divisions of this race for the last year so it would be foolish not to take a look at his runner Khelman, although in truth he would need to improve having been well beaten in three outings since last tasting victory.

Chickenfortea seems to save his best for Catterick having won previously over course and distance and posting two wins and a place from three at the course. He had the stamina to win over a furlong further last time out so the slightly softer ground conditions shouldn’t prove a problem and he’s taken to gain another victory here today.
