RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (TUESDAY)

15:40 Lingfield

Twelve lightly raced competitors are likely to enter the stalls in the fifth race at Lingfield this afternoon. Just two have previously tasted victory in the form of Al Kout and Sawwaah. Of the duo it’s Sawwaah that gets the nod after a very impressive maiden victory at Newmarket last month. He defeated eighteen rivals that day of which thirteen have raced again since with six placing and two winning. The form of Sawwaah’s only race is turning out to be very decent and this contest doesn’t look a drastic step up in class. Trainer Owen Burrows has grabbed a couple of winners in recent weeks and is likely to add to his tally once again.

John Gosden’s charge Stylehunter has gone close with two second placed finishes in his last two outings and is set to make the frame once again.

Fitzsimmons is making his racecourse debut so a lot of questions need to be answered but based on breeding alone could turn into a nice horse in time.
