RACE PREVIEW & TIPS (FRIDAY)

15:05 Thirsk

The oldest horse in this thirteen runner contest may not have age on his side but what Danish Duke has in experience may be enough to see him return to winning ways. Trainer Ruth Carr has a great record here at Thirsk and is the course she’s won her second most amount of prize money at. When last seen on turf the seven year old gelding looked to show glimpses of getting back to his best and with a whopping 15lbs less weight to carry since his last success (here at Thirsk last year) looks primed for a big run.

Fellow course and distance winners Cliff and Burtonwood wont be far away but it is in fact Hadley who may well scupper our chances of claiming gold.
