Magical Effect almost landed a heavy gamble at Chester last time only to suffer the cruellest defeat, having been held up off the pace he came with what was almost certainly a winning win before the two leaders badly hampered him. Officially four pounds well in today, this looks a gilt edged chance to gain compensation and he is taken to do just that. Viscount Loftus was first past the post before being disqualified last time, his yard continue to churn out winners and he is respected. Katheefa is a stablemate of Magical Effect and he could also go well given he’s two pounds well in, Areen Heart is another with chances but though none make the appeal of the selection.
