The opening contest on ITV sees us set to tackle a very tricky looking 1m2f listed contest where we see a mix of solid group performers and up and coming three year olds.
The current market leader Real World produced a dominant display in the Royal Hunt Cup to finish in front by over 4 lengths. That was a fantastic performance but wether or not that form will translate now tackling horses who’ve competed and won at a higher level is tough to tell.
I’d not be shocked to see Real World taste success but at the odds I find myself forced to look elsewhere.
The ever consistent Solid Stone won a listed race at Windsor two starts back and claimed a decent third last time out. Perhaps not the classiest type but at odds of 17/2 he looks to have a solid chance of finishing in the top three and from a punting perspective is a sensible choice to pick up some profit.
Of the remainder it’s Derab that I fear the most. They can be forgiven their performance in France and if they live up to any of their earlier promise may play a major part in this.
