PADDOCKS PATENT (TUESDAY)

15:50 Kempton Park Once again due to the snow all the jump races today have been abandoned and we only have Kempton Park and Southwell to concentrate on. Our first preview of the day is a seven furlong handicap for three year olds and it looks a wide open affair. Happy Pursuit showed a lot of promise last time out after a dreadful start to her career on the turf, she seems better suited to the all-weather tracks and could come on again here today. The two that stand out to me are Courier and Total Demolition, they were both beaten a long way in their latest race but the winning horse that day has gone on to win again off a fourteen pound higher mark. Courier had the beating of Total Demolition on that occasion but the latter comes here on slightly better terms and with what looks like a distance that should suit him better he looks one that could progress the most and gets my vote to take this today. Total Demolition (E/W)

16:25 Kempton Park Our second preview of the day is another race for three year olds but this is over six furlongs. On paper this looks a two horse race with the two top weights battling it out to go off favourite. The Dapper Tapper has been slowly going up the weights without winning and  finding one too good on his last three attempts but is two pounds lower than he was when second over course and distance back in December. Ifittakesforever managed to shrug off a four pound penalty to win last time out at Wolves but has been raised a further six pounds for that win, that win was also over five furlongs which looks his best trip. The Olympic Charm makes his handicap debut and showed a lot of promise on this surface at Chelmsford six days ago; he could be a very big danger if he improves again and has place claims here today. The Dapper Tapper (WIN)

16:55 Kempton Park Our final preview of the day is also the last race at Kempton a six furlong handicap. Jolly Red Jeanz had previous course and distance winner Rigolleto behind when she won over course and distance sixteen days ago and both have only been raised slightly in the weights and with both also getting a good draw they can makes this an interesting race. New Rich’s all four wins have come over course and distance but he looks to be in the handicappers grip but can’t be dismissed when he comes here. The biggest danger to Jolly Red Jeanz and Rigolleto and my selection is Pearl Noir; he loves it on the polytrack and with is jockeys seven pound claim he can run off the same mark as when finishing second at Lingfield Park last month. Invigilator is another worth noting if he can produce the same form he did when winning last month at Chelmsford as he is still on a winning mark with his four pound penalty and is also another previous course and distance winner. Pearl Noir (E/W)
