Maraweh bounced right back to his best when successful over this course and distance on his latest start. That was his third win in his last four races and the form looks fairly solid. Derek Fox retains the ride on the five year old and with his stable in excellent form he has to be of obvious interest this afternoon.
Arctic Court looks well treated on the best of his old form and he too is a previous course and distance winner. Jim Goldie is a dab hand at placing his horses well and this local runner ought to go close with James Reveley booked to ride. What A Steel was pulled up over an extended three miles at Kelso last time. This slight drop in trip should suit him better and with Craig Nichol claiming three pounds they look to have solid each way claims.
Maraweh is one of the youngest in this field and there is every chance that he can continue to progress his way through the handicaps. He may well have too much speed for quite a few of these older and more exposed types and he can go in yet again.

Tap Night looked as though he very much needed his first outing of the season when beaten almost thirty lengths at Carlisle last month. He tends to give his best running when there is plenty of give in the ground and that looks likely here today. He drops down in grade to face his lowest form of opposition since February 2013 and with the cobwebs well and truly cleared he has to warrant a second look.
Gingili makes his debut for Rose Dobbin and comes here to defend his unbeaten record. He ought to improve for this step up in trip and Craig Nichol is able to claim three pounds off his back. This rapidly improving son of Beat Hollow faces his sternest opposition to date but he looks a massive threat here. Donna’s Pride represents last year’s winning team of Keith and James Reveley. She is already proven at this trip and handles soft ground well enough. If fully wound up at the first time of asking, she is likely to make the frame.
Tom Scudamore partners Tap Night for only the second time today. The eight year old has dropped to a very competitive and attractive looking mark and the combination should make a bold effort despite carrying top weight.

Mythical Madness came back from a five month sabbatical to finish third behind Man Of Harlech at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago. He is fully expected to come on for that outing and despite dropping down in distance here, there is no reason to think that he would not be able to cope with it. Both of his career wins to date have come at Windsor but his sire Dubawi gets plenty of winners on artificial surfaces so Charlie Appleby will be confident of a decent showing.
Volunteer Point ran well in similar company last time out and Mick Channon does exceptionally well with his runners around here. Two of the yard’s last three winners have come at this track and this unexposed three year old looks to be a live danger. Bint Dandy will appreciate the drop back to a mile and has plenty of previous form over the course and distance. Ryan Tate is able to claim three pounds from his mount and the combination have place prospects yet again.
Adam Kirby has a near thirty five percent strike rate when teaming up with Charlie Appleby and he has won on this four year old previously. If adapting to this circuit he has to command the utmost respect.
