MCMANUS RUNNER TO ROMP RETURN

15:20 Ludlow

Takeit Easy arrives here in good form, having won over course and distance in March, and given the runner-up from that race has since notched a double Pam Sly's six-year-old could take some stopping off just a 3lbs higher mark. The concern I would have for his chances is the forecast rain between now and race-time as both career wins to date have come on good ground.

In-form trainer Jonjo O'Neill runs top-weight Pagero who has posted three wins and a second from five since being partnered with Jonjo O'Neill Jnr, who also boasts an excellent strike rate at the course. He's proven over this trip and further, won on return from a similar break last season and has winning form on good, good-to-soft and soft ground so should be at home whatever the weather.

Ballinsker has failed to fire in three runs this year but his sole career victory came over course and distance and this represents a big drop in class so he warrants respect, although is another would prefer the rain to stay away.

PAGERO (WIN)
