El Borracho is the current favourite and given some of his form, it’s not entirely surprising. However, he’s never ran at Sedgefield before and he’s due to go down in the ratings soon. Connections aren’t exactly in flying form at the moment and he looks opposable.
Whoshotwho represents some leading connections, who are in relatively good form, and on his previous ratings, would have strolled to success. So evidently, he’s rather well handicapped. However, he’s not been at his best in his recent starts and he would prefer a much further distance. Moreover, he’s not been first past the winning post in over three years.
Granted Instant Replay hasn’t been at his best on his last two starts and he isn’t particularly supported in the market as a result of that but he commands a very respectable record at Sedgefield and that does tip the scales in his favour. Moreover, Brian Ellison has the best record of anyone, in this race, at Sedgefield and former champion jockey, Brian Hughes, is always an eye-catching jockey booking. He could be the one to score victory in what looks to be a tricky little affair.
