GLORIOUS GOODWOOD – TV TIPS (SATURDAY)

IN ASSOCIATION WITH…

13:50 Goodwood Plenty of these have chances and the draw will likely play a major part in the result, Scorching Heat finished a fine second at Newmarket last time and is drawn in the middle today. Usually up with the pace he makes plenty of appeal for the places and could give them the slip. Richard Fahey continues in good form and is mob handed here, Gin In The Inn and the Wagon Wheel look his best chances but Scorching Heat gets the nod. SCORCHING HEAT (WIN)

14:05 Newmarket Isabel De Urbina probably bumped into one the last day when second here in a Listed race, still unexposed and proven on the ground she deserves a good deal of respect and will likely go close. Pleasant Surprise comes from the Cumani yard and has the services of Jamie Spencer, fairly impressive when winning at Doncaster last time she looks interesting in this sphere. To Eternity has leading form claims and deserves a mention but Pleasant Suprise is handed a strong vote. PLEASANT SURPRISE (WIN) – NAP

14:25 Goodwood Shraaoh is becoming a little expensive to follow now but arrives in decent heart having placed the last twice, from the Stoute yard he will surely land one of these before long, he has twice flopped when the ground has had give it however. Jaameh is a little in and out but he has won at this meeting before and will handle the ground, at the odds he looks the value call and is handed the selection ahead of Getback In Paris. JAAMEH (E/W)

14:40 Newmarket First Drive probably won a very ordinary event at Nottingham last time, she did it nicely enough however and her proven effectiveness on this ground, coupled with her fairly soft looking mark make her of obvious interest. Neola must concede weight all round and arrives here on the back off a moderate effort at Ascot, prior to that she had some very smart form and is taken to bounce back in this much easier company. Paramount Love is worth watching in the market as she looks to have a good weight, a comment that also applies ti stablemate Queen Penn. NEOLA (WIN)

15:00 Goodwood Crystal Ocean arrives here as the standout performer on paper and a repeat of either of her last two performances may well suffice, that being said she will likely be short enough and the ground is so soft that short priced favourites make limited appeal. Khalidi is tough and generally consistent, his second last time reads well in the context of this and he’s respected. Mount Moriah has plenty to find with the two market leaders but he is clearly progressive and has won his last three, at home on soft ground he looks a big player and cause an upset. MOUNT MORIAH (WIN)

15:15 Newmarket The form of them with experience in this is hardly anything to write home about so newcomer Tivoli is the suggestion to make a winning debut, nicely bred and from the yard of John Gosden she is related to a two year old group two winner and on that she can make a winning start. Allegramente hails from the Stoute stable and is another with an appealing pedigree, Dathanna has had two starts and makes most appeal of those with experience though money for any would be interesting. TIVOLI (WIN)

15:35 Goodwood This looks an extremely difficult renewal of the stewards cup, complicated further by the fact that a lot of the fancied horses appear to have the disadvantage of being drawn high. Projection has stall 27 to run from but arrives here on the back of a tremendous effort when third at Royal Ascot, a repeat of that here would entitle him to go very close but the draw is a major concern. Raucous has always proved talented yet frustrating, third in this last season he has every right to go close but is another drawn high. Growl makes appeal along with Brian The Snail, both have strong claims from the low draw but a chance will be taken on Projection finally getting it right, for insurance purposes Raucous is also handed an each way selection. PROJECTION (WIN) RAUCOUS (E/W)
