14:10 Yarmouth
Lord Cherry has had to settle for the runner up spot on his last two runs, one over six furlongs here at Yarmouth and one over seven furlongs at Kempton. On both occasions he was doing his best work at the finish so another step up in trip could be just the ticket to unlock his first career victory.
Shabs failed to fire at Newmarket last time out but wasn’t beaten far in two runs prior to that effort so with Stefano Cherchi claiming 3lbs looks to be the main danger, while Habanero Star has made the frame in five from six over course and distance and arrives here in excellent form having won two of her last three so shouldn’t be underestimated despite being nudged up 2lbs.
LORD CHERRY (WIN)
20:35 Bath
All four of Plansina’s career turf victories have come here at Bath, with three of them coming over the same trip as she encounters today. A winner when last seen, she arrives in good form and gets on extremely well with jockey David Probert so looks tough to oppose.
City Escape got to within a neck of Plansina when they met over course and distance last month and is marginally better off at the weights this time around, however didn’t look to have anything left to give so may struggle to reverse that form.
Too Shy Shy carries a penalty for victory here last week but could still remain competitive, while Patroon is also of some interest now switched back to turf and with jockey Harry Burns claiming 5lbs.
