TUESDAY RACING TIPS

15:35 Musselburgh

A classified stakes over seven furlongs.

Bobby Shaftoe has been threatening to win a race for a while, but that elusive first victory has eluded him. Seven furlongs in first time blinkers may not be the magic remedy.

Monaadhil could certainly win this. However he is an infrequent winner and this eight year old may not represent value.

Despite the seven furlongs being a slight unknown, a chance is taken on The Gay Blade. His three runs on this course this season look decent in the context of this race. Hopefully they’ll go quick enough to enable him to settle, and he can get off the mark at the seventh attempt.

THE GAY BLADE (WIN)

17:15 Musselburgh

Another classified stakes, this time over a mile and a half.

Geneva Dragon will be popular in the market. He has been mixing his flat runs with hurdling and chasing. His most recent run on the flat was decent, finishing third in an amateur rider handicap. This horse stays extremely well and this sharp course may not suit.

This could be a straight shoot out between City Wanderer and Will He Dance. The former got the better of the argument last time over course and distance under an enterprising ride. However the way Will He Dance finished that day gives plenty of hope he can reverse the placings this time. Off the same weights, Billy Garritty will be a bit wiser this time, and Will He Dance can turn the tables
