TUESDAY RACING TIPS

17:17 Huntingdon

A maiden hurdle over two miles lacks strength in depth.

Barenboim had some respectable placed efforts on the flat, but didn’t manage to get his head in front in his nine starts. His first attempt hurdling at Kempton was a decent start. If he can improve a little on that he’ll go close.

Patient Dream takes a drop in class here after competing at a decent level. He will find this challenge more suitable and he’s another with an obvious chance.

The selection is Awesomedude for the Pipe team. This horse is six now, but had a fruitful flat career, winning five in a row. His two hurdle starts last summer were full of promise, and coming back from a nice break, he looks sent to resume winning ways.

AWESOMEDUDE (WIN)

19:47 Huntingdon

A staying handicap hurdle, where all of the seven runners could be given a chance.

Del Duque is the least expensive of these. He does need to take his form up a notch, however he has time on his side and could yet prove he’s well up to it.

Galileo Silver certainly knows how to win. He usually runs his race, although there has to be a doubt that this three mile trip just stretches him.

Flashing Glance and Sirobbie finished first and second at Taunton last month. Sirobbie is taken to come out on top on this occasion and win this contest. There’s no doubt he’s well enough handicapped to win this, and on this slightly more galloping track he’s taken to score under the talented Lily Pinchin.

SIROBBIE (WIN)
