THURSDAY FLAT RACING TIPS

16:30 Brighton

Hooves Like Jagger was beaten almost four lengths by the re-opposing Miss Tiki when last seen so doesn’t look particularly well treated lining up off the same mark here. A similar comment applies to Wisper who although won by four lengths over course and distance last week that was her first win in fifteen, came on soft ground and she has a 6lbs penalty to carry today.

Agent Of Fortune is an interesting runner returning to the turf so late in the season, having raced exclusively on all-weather tracks for the last twelve months. She has posted three close seconds over this trip when partnered with Joshua Bryan and is well handicapped on her best AW form however odds of around 5/1 look a little short so at an early double figure price I am happy to play Junoesque who has an excellent course and distance record of three wins and two placed efforts from seven, with one of those victories coming in a higher grade off a mark of 65, so is certainly capable at this level if bouncing back from a couple of lesser efforts the last twice.

JUNOESQUE (E/W)

17:40 Brighton

Glamorous Breeze has been the model of consistency over the summer, posting figures of 2212222 since dropping back to the minimum trip, and despite being nudged up slightly for each close second was still only beaten by a thriving Mick Appleby runner who has since notched a hat-trick. She won’t be a huge price but looks to have a great chance of being rewarded for her consistency with David Probert taking over in the saddle.

Batchelor Boy, Shamson and Atty’s Edge are all previous course and distance winners who are capable of making their presence felt, with the first-named the most likely to benefit should the favourite falter.
