RIDE ON AIR IN TAUNTON SHOWPIECE

14:41 Taunton

Trainer Harry Fry has his horses going well of late with the yard sending out five winners from their last fifteen runners. With that in mind it’s interesting to see Fry send out just one horse this Thursday and it just so happens to lineup in Taunton’s big race of the day. The stables charge comes in the form of one of the oldest horses in the race with nine year old AIR HORSE ONE. He’s been a consistent type and has competed in some top level handicaps over the past few seasons. The grey returned to action after a 221 day layoff and claimed fifth of ten at Fontwell. He’s likely to improve for that recent run and should have dusted off the cobwebs after that recent return. Furthermore Harry Fry’s horse has a fantastic record here at Taunton having never finished out of the top three in four course starts. He resides below his highest winning mark and all things point towards another solid run at this venue.

Tight Call and Chentecler have both claimed two victories already this season and hail from major yards. They look the likeliest dangers to my selection and are more than capable at this level.

A small mention also has to go to course and distance winner Organdi who, if fit on seasonal return, shouldn’t be far away either.
