Good Earth ran last week at Beverley where he managed to finish second after getting a troubled passage through. The winner that day was well backed and certainly looked ahead of the handicapper, so I will be taking Good Earth to gain compensation today. He certainly knows how to win and has good strike rate on turf of 4-17. Away from my selection we have Runninwild who won twice last season and had a nice comeback run when drawn away from the main action. He will no doubt strip fitter today and rates as a danger to Good Earth.

Tikk Tock Boom was a good second around Plumpton eight days ago behind the well handicapped Blame The Game. This more galloping track should suit her today and the extra furlong will also be a benefit. The mare is also 12lb below her last winning mark and should very much be in contention today under Charlie Todd. The main danger is Motown Lake who is a typical Christian Williams recruit to chasing after three quiet runs in hurdles, before heading over fences with a low mark and duly won on second handicap start. But after getting raised in the handicap for that he has beaten twice and would have to find improvement to win today.
