FRIDAY RACING TIPS

18:20 Worcester

You could make a case for a couple of these runners in hunters chase at Worcester today. Favourite at the time of writing Twig has been in some very good form winning 4 of his last 5 races under rules or point to point.

Twig seems to be progressive at the moment and will be difficult to beat but I believe is a little on the short side from a betting perspective. 14 year old Tango De Juilley is out again and won a point to point last month however judging Tango De Juilley form you would want to see it slightly on the softer side (Currently good) which may make it certainly difficult for a 14-year-old.

Rolling Dylan is a course and distance winner round here and is the only one in the race to have that which is an advantage and is 4 pounds better of than Twig in there last race against each other.

My selection though is Arthur's Sixpence is one of the younger racehorses in this race. Won last time out after over a year off last month so you would think Arthur's Sixpence would be much fitter for this. Before his year absence Arthurs Sixpence was a Hatrick winner under rules so clearly has ability under rules. Which may have been stronger form when you compare it to some point-to-point form others runners have shown in this race. The faster the ground I think the better it'll suit Arthurs Sixpence with majority of his form on good and even winning on good to firm. Whereas this may not suit his opponents.

ARTHUR'S SIXPENCE (WIN)

19:30 Worcester

4 run here in this novice hurdle race. Godiva's Bay is a 100/1 shot here for a reason that there is very little form to suggest Godiva's Bay will be challenging today's race.

Market favourite Doncesar De Pretot doesn't have much form to suggest Hes a favourite here bar a 2nd Place finish in a handicap at Fakenham. He did finish a fair a old way behind the winner. He is also yet to win a race under rules in 9 attempts which suggest he maybe difficult to place / win with. Not form you want to see if you're backing a favourite.

Striking Out was perhaps a tad lucky winning last time out under rules debut. The point-to-point form looks ok but he is also up 5 pounds and giving weight all round compared to his rivals, For his win at Hereford last time out. Upped in trip which may suit though.

My selection though is Malina Jamila. Solid Bumper form when finishing 4th at Aintree against some much fancied and bigger yard runners. when he finished 4th at odds of 125/1 which looked a strong piece of form. Usually likes to front run as he has done in previous races and he did in the bumper race at Aintree. Won his Hurdling race earlier in the month and although maybe it wasn't the best performance. You would like to think he would improve for his Hurdling Debut. Again if the ground stays fast this will suit Malina Jamila and I think certainly holds more value than the favourite does in this race.

MALINA JAMILA (WIN)
