FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

18:30 Dundalk

A return to the all-weather is such a massive positive after a very poor turf campaign from the J F Levins trained four year old KINCH. A course and distance winner who likes to come from behind so the outside draw isn’t as disadvantageous as it would be to most. The yard had a winner recently and now close to his last winning mark shouldn’t be far away.

KINCH

19:00 Dundalk

Just like Kinch in the previous race my selection here should be reasonably pleased at the return to an artificial surface. ALHAAZM finished fourth of thirteen when last racing on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. Grabbed a handful of placed performances as a youngster when trained by Sir Michael Stoute before heading over to Kevin Prendergast. It’s very intriguing to see the four year old tackle seven furlongs for the first time in his career and looks interesting at decent price of around 14/1.

ALHAAZM

20:00 Dundalk

A very open race where a case can be made for several of those that are set to lineup. I'm siding with one of the five course and distance winners and here it's SPRUCE MEADOW'S that gets the nod. A third at Gowran Park last time out was a much improved effort and a return to this longer trip shouldn't be a worry either. Solid chance of grabbing a place in this.
