Any Paul Nicholls trained runner demands a tonne of respect and that’s some of the reason as to why Favorito Buck’s leads the betting in this one. An encouraging third placed finish last time was positive but this five year old is yet to claim victory in the seven starts since switching to this infamous stable.
One runner that isn’t short of victories is Play The Ace who’s claimed wins in his last two starts. Aiming to make it three on the bounce the Peter Bowen trained runner has a great chance. Despite the hike in weight Play The Ace looks the most likely threat.
Three starts back the aforementioned Play The Ace faced a fellow opponent he’ll also face again today in Bishops Court. Bishops Court finished way down the field in seventh that day but with that run under his belt he’ll be much fitter this afternoon. The two horses meet again on much better terms weight wise and if the seven year old can improve for that last run he’ll be fitter and has a great each way chance.
