According to the bookies this is set to be a dual with the remaining seven runners likely to fight it out for minor placings. That may seem somewhat harsh on runners like Flawless Jewel, Firelight and Awesome Jo Jo who have done little wrong but it’s hard to get away from what the two at the head of the market have done so far.

Angels Hideaway put in a sterling effort to come out victorious at Royal Ascot last time and with previous solid efforts at Haydock and Newmarket the grey is destined to be on the scene.

A third placed finish in the Albany Stakes is by far the best form on offer. The previously unbeaten Fairyland aims to get back to winning ways and representing the Irish powerhouse of Ballydoyle it’s far from inconceivable. With less opposition and a weaker standard of competition it’s difficult to see anything but a Fairyland victory.
