WEST THE BEST FOR SANDOWN SUCCESS

Beaufort West brings by far the best form into this race. His 2nd last time to High Up In The Air has proved very strong. He gave that rival 8lbs that day and was beaten 2 lengths. High Up In The Air has come out and won again since in a slightly better race. High Up In The Air is now 15lbs higher than when Beaufort West faced him that day. Antunes won last time but his record following up a win is poor. Has won 3 times in the past, failing to win next time at every attempt. Longhouse Sale looks too high in the handicap. Dostal Phil was behind Beaufort West last time and had to give him weight, however he was soundly beaten and still has to give my selection plenty of weight again. Now chasing I think Beaufort West is a real improver for his new yard after a very promising chase debut.

This looked a really weak race and The Flying Sofa is on a winnable mark. Monsieur D’arque looks badly handicapped and the form on his good runs hasn’t worked out either. Go Long is very unreliable. The final selection Apple Rock, I simply believe is still well handicapped to improve again. I really like the attitude of the horse.
