14:05 Wetherby
Arrivederci has won over course and distance and has his second race after wind surgery today. He shaped as if he would come on for his run at Taunton. Connections are in decent form but he isn’t consistent. Moreover, this is a wide open and competitive race. Nevertheless, he isn’t without a shout.
Findthetime is chasing a hat-trick of victories and improving with every race. He’s up in distance and Brian Hughes is an eye catching booking. He has a lot of upside and has a very low weight. If he can harness his potential, then he’s a big danger, in what shapes to be a fascinating contest.
Up For Parole has won at Wetherby, over two miles, when he beat Barrichello by seven lengths. He stepped up to two miles and three furlongs at Haydock and won, going away from the rest. He kept on very strongly in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton, last time out and that form is strong compared to today. Additionally, Jamie Snowden and Gavin Sheehan are in very good form. If his last run hasn’t taken too much out of him, he should win this.
UP FOR PAROLE (WIN)
18:30 Kempton
Lafan won over course and distance, last time out, when he defeated Espresso Freddo and Freadom and Wheat by a length. He’s been penalised for that victory and although he should enjoy the race today, he’s never won off this mark before. He’d need a career best and Rossa Ryan is 0/3 aboard him. He might well be booked for the minor places today.
Espresso Freddo is a dual course and distance winner but had to settle for second against Lafan, last time out. He’s 3 lbs better off from the aforementioned and he’s set to give a good account of himself again. That race was the first time that Darragh Keenan rode him and he’s the danger today.
Freedom and Wheat was third to both of the above, last time out, but had won over course and distance previously. It’s his third time up after nearly a years break so he is given a lot of consideration to progress against the latter two. Moreover, Marco Ghiani has won four races when partnered with him. He deserves to be a better price.
