WEDNESDAY RACING TIPS

13:50 Yarmouth

Priscilla’s Wish won this race last year and returns in her bid to follow up in excellent form having won here at Yarmouth decisively last month. The second, third and sixth from that race all won next time out so the form looks strong and despite being 3lbs higher this time around should be capable of taking this again.

Vitesse Du Son was an impressive four length winner at Brighton last week and would have to be considered on the back of that success, however that came over a mile and the opposition here look of a stronger caliber so given this and the 5lbs penalty he may have to settle for minor honours.

Ho Ho Silver has won twice around Yarmouth and arrives here 2lbs below best winning mark so would also warrant consideration, however finished almost four lengths behind our selection last time out so would need a jump forwards to reverse that form.

PRISCILLA’S WISH (WIN)

19:15 Ffos Las

Despite there being just four runners this race looks to be a decent little race for the grade with all four runners deemed in with a chance.

True Gem beat three subsequent winners when successful at Goodwood in June and was a ready winner at Haydock when last seen just five days ago, however the combination of a 6lbs penalty and faster than ideal ground conditions means we go against her today.

The form of Elsals’ last two victories have been franked with the runner up on both occasions going on to score next time out, however both these victories came over seven furlongs so the drop back to six would be a cause for concern.

Regal Envoy has been in excellent form this season, winning three from four since switching back to turf. Last seen in June, he beat Adaay In Asia by almost a length and that rival has since won three on the bounce so he commands respect, although each of his victories have come over shorter trips and even in such a small field he could struggle to see out the slight extra distance.

This brings us to Haymaker who put in an excellent run over this trip at Pontefract at the beginning of the month, finishing fourth in a blanket finish having plotted the widest path of all. On that evidence a return to the winners enclosure won’t be far away and given his trainers’ excellent form here at Ffos Las it would be no surprise were that return to happen today.

HAYMAKER (WIN)
