15:35 Naas
We have a 2 mile 3 furlong Handicap Hurdle at Naas with 14 runners with the current going, Soft.
Big King is the 3/1 favourite and I'm not convinced in the market leader. His best performances have come at 2 miles and on better ground. With the current going and the additional 3 furlongs, I don't think the Barry Connell runner will be able to justify favouritism in this competitive handicap.
Ben Dundee's entry here is interesting, he was last seen at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival in Browns Advisory Handicap Chase where he finished 5th. After a lengthy spell off the track and now coming back over the smaller obstacles, he's one to keep an eye on.
However my selection for the race is Morosini each way, currently at 16/1. The Jessica Harrington runner holds top weight here and is coming back down in trip. His last win came over 2 miles 4 furlongs and since then has been running over 3 miles. I think the step down in trip here will suit and he'll have the stamina to handle the potentially testing ground.
I wouldn't be surprised for extra place markets to be available for this race and I'm hoping that Morosini can defy top weight and be right up there at the line
