The expected rain today will start to make the ground soft potentially at Ascot i imagine so my selections are based on the ground get soft as the day goes on.

Acquitted goes of favourite with going down to 7f will help however you have to be concerned how well he started last season and finished it poorly. I think he is def worth taking on

Raising Sand seems to like it round here with 50% of his races being run around here has won 2 top handicap races here before and the soft ground will sure to suit him with Saffie Osbourne weight allowance could come in handy (7lbs) you would expect him to be involved in the finish.

Symbolize is another who likes it round Ascot and the Soft ground would suit. However, would have to improve what he has shown so far.

My selection for me is ESCOBAR won't be put off by the weather was 3rd last time out at Haydock with this being the target in mine I believe and no doubt would have come on for the run. lower now than his last winning mark. So, there shouldn't be any excuses as to why Escobar will not run well unless a bit unlucky in the run in.

At a big price I think GREENSIDE is interesting Yard and Jockey in good form and could out run his odds. Also has good handicap form around here and has won at Haydock on soft ground. my only slight concern would be running in a race like this first time out. They would be my two selections
