14:45 Goodwood Kilmah is one of the more experienced runners in the line up and has been unfortunate to bump into two daughters of Frankel on her most recent starts. This is a slight drop in grade and at a track where trainer Mark Johnston has a ridiculous amount of success with his runners. If recapturing her early season form she ought to be capable of delivering a massive run under a firt time ride from Franny Norton. This is her first attempt at seven furlongs and the yards runner’s always command respect when going up in distance for the first time. Grecian Light won on her debut at Newmarket last month before finding only one too strong over the same course and distance next time out. On a line through Nations Alexander there ought to be very little between the two filles and the Godolphin runner looks a massive threat. On Her Toes certainly knows where the winning line is and William Haggas has come back into a bit of form of late. She already has the beating of a number of her rivals including Tiburtina, Urban Fox and Belle Meade and there is no obvious reason as to why that form should be turned around. She too warrants a second look for an in form team. Kilmah ought to make a bold effort to be prominent from the outset and if allowed an uncontested lead she may well improve for the switch to this track. 15:00 Newmarket Summer Chorus just got up in the shadows of the post over six furlongs at this track to win a £30K handicap a fortnight ago. This step up in trip looks tailor made for the Andrew Balding runner and the form of the race has been franked subsequently given the victory of East Street Revue at York. Being by Exceed And Excel the three year old will love hearing the sound of her hooves ratlle on thr fast ground. Jimmy Quinn timed his ride on her to perfection and he will be hoping to keep his one hundred percent strike rate on her intact despite a five pound rise in the ratings. Shawaahid comes into this race with topweight given the manner of his winning seasonal debut at Wolverhampton a couple of weeks ago. There is every likelihood of further improvement and the fact that he is already proven over the course and distance will stand him in good stead. He has won three of his six career starts to date and is very much a rival to be feared now that he is fully fit. Kitaaby is certainly improving having won his two most recent starts at Newbury and Leicester. The step up to seven furlongs has clearly suited the Brian Meehan inmate and looks destined for at least a place here. Tigerwolf goes back up in trip having won over six furlongs at Salisbury last time. He drifted right across the track that last time giving odds on backers a meltdown in the process but he just clung on. He is clearly quirky and may struggle to repeat that effort today. Summer Chorus has every reason to improve for this step up in trip today and the Balding team continue to be in excellent form. With proven course form under her belt, there should be more to come and she should go very close this afternoon. Summer Chorus (E/W if 9/2+)

15:10 Beverley Kingsgate Native may almost be of pensionable age but he rolled back the years to win over the minimum trip at Nottingham last time. Robert Cowell seems to have him right back in tip top shape following a couple of lacklustre efforts of late and this previous course and distance winner ought to remain a threat to all. The booking of Graham Lee certainly catches the eye as he hasnty partnered the eleven year old since May 2015. He is however one from one on the talented speedster. Muthmir comes into this race as the highest individually rated runner however he has struggled to find himself amongst the best sprinters of late. Dane O’Neill has won on him in the past and the jockey has an enviable strike rate at this track. Whether he can conjure a decent effort from the six year old remains to be seen but he looks way too short a price here. Alpha Delphini has won his last two races at Ascot and York with the minimum of fuss and they were cavalry charges. He has form over this course and distance too and represents the ultra shrewd Bryan Smart. Whilst this is a rise in class he is clearly on good terms with himself and he commands respect. The three year olds at the foot of the weights seem to have lost their way a little and they dont look good enough to trouble their older and far more experienced rivals. Kingsgate Native knows all there is to know about this game and with many of his rivals out of sorts he may well be able to take full advantage. The Cowell team secured a similar prize earlier in the week with Sprit Quartz in Ireland and you couldn’t rule out there chances of yet more success here. Kingsgate Native (E/W if 9/2+)

15:20 Goodwood Big Time makes his first start for Kevin Ryan this afternoon and having won a claimer at Epsom last month he arrives here in good heart. Just like Epsom, Goodwood is a track that lends itself well to front running sorts and with a positive low draw in stall five it would be of no surprise to see him make a beeline for the rail. The change of stable will hopefully encourage yet further improvement from this lightly raced five year old. He seems versatile regarding ground conditions and Martin Harley comes in for a first time ride. His record in big fields is far from great but he will get better with experience. Certificate is likely to prove popular given the manner of his success at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago. The return to turf certainly sparked a revival in his fortune and there may well be more to come despite a six pound rise in the weights. Roger Varian seems to have turned a corner with his runners with Andrea At zenith booked, the combination look likely to prove the biggest of threats. Shady McCoy has proved a revelation of late having won five of his last nine starts. He travels on most types of ground and more importantly is proven over this course and distance. This is a big jump up in class but sprinters have to be followed when they are in peak form and it would be foolish to dismiss his claims. Big Time will have had his confidence boosted following his win at Epsom and unlike a lot of his rivals, he arrives here in good form. If Kevin Ryan can unlock further potential from the five year old he looks to have decent each way claims this afternoon. Big Time (E/W if 9/2+) Shady McCoy (E/W if 9/2+)

15:35 Newmarket Walpole is improving at a rate of knots and now bids to record his fourth win from just five starts. Hugo Palmer has struck a rich vein of form in recent weeks and this lightly raced four year old is likely to make his mark. This is his toughest opposition to date and he is tackling seasoned campaigners but it has been hard not to be enthusiastic about the manner of his wins and there ought to be an awful lot more to come. Real Dominion has made the frame in seven of his nine career starts and sneaks in here at the foot of the handicap. He was a gallant third in the Shergar cup with partnered by Emily Jane Watson a few weeks ago and given a more straightforward ride will benefit the three year old. He receives weight from all bar one of his rivals this afternoon and he has to be considered a huge threat for an in form team. Masterpaver is still well in on the best of his all weather form answer and he is weighted to reverse York form with Yorkidding. He has proven himself over further than this trip in the past and seems to have really taken to the turf of late so he too commands respect. Walpole may just prove to be a little bit better than a handicapper and a small a result he may well see his rivals off with the minimum of fuss. 15:55 Goodwood Sweeping Up is only one of two runners in this field that have proven themselves over a trip as far as this in the past. She will appreciate a return to this distance having been plying her trade over a couple of furlongs shorter most recently and if allowed to dominate from the outset, she may well prove a tough nut to crack. Her last victory came at Sandown over this distance and having been placed at a higher level than this in the past, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat. Mr Singh has been placed at Group 2 level in the past but now carries topweight here as a result. This extra yardage may well bring about some further improvement but it will take Frankie to be at his supreme best in order to encourage him home. Goldmember just finished in front of Platitude here last time and should confirm that form yet again. Many of the others look as though this is a step too far whilst others are completely out of sorts. Hughie Morrison will note that this prize will be ripe for the taking and the booking of Jimmy Fortune certainly catches the eye. The jockey rides Goodwood ever so well and the combination may well just prove too much to handle. Sweeping Up (WIN)

16:10 Newmarket Eastern Impact loves it around this course and has found himself running into a decent bit of form of late. Despite being beaten in Ireland in a Group 3 last time out, he now reverts to listed races in order to encourage further wins from him. It is worth remembering that he won a Group 3 as recently as last year and this step down in class may well see him in a much better light. Naadir was second in this race under a penalty last year but he has no such punishment this time around. A return to winning ways in a Doncaster conditions race last will have done him no harm at all a decent with the ground in his favour, he has to be feared. Baccarat was far from disgraced in the Great St Wilfred at Ripon last time, but he has always seemed to perform better in bigger fields. He has always been a bit of a tricky customer and often flatters to deceive. Eastern Impact is still a classy act on his day and his recent form stands out head and shoulders above any of these. With Richard Fahey’s yard in excellent shape, it would be foolish not to consider him a major player here. Eastern Impact (WIN)

16:30 Goodwood Zonderland looks to be following in the footsteps of stablemate Kodi Bear who won the same Group 3 at Salisbury before going on to win this prize last season. Three year olds have a terrific recent record in this race so the weight allowance received from older rivals will certainly make a difference. Thikriyaat has won four races between seven furlongs and a mile in his short career. Sir Michael Stoute also has a fairly decent record in this race too so Paul Hanagan’s mount commands utmost respect. Toormore carries a three pound penalty for winning a Group 2 race on his seasonal debut back in April. He also wasn’t too far behind some good three year olds last time in the Sussex Stakes and he will try to expose any flaws in the armoury of his main market rivals. Clive Cox will have made this race Zonderland’s top priority following his win last time out and they ought to be capable of delivering the goods here. Zonderland (WIN)
