TV TIPS (SATURDAY)

13:50 Newmarket This represents a good opportunity for Kew Gardens to get his head back in front, perhaps not one of the yards leading lights he has shown decent form at a higher level and opposing him here seems pointless. Dee Ex Bee caused quite a stir when hacking up on debut at Goodwood, since then he’s rather failed to fire though he showed a good attitude when winning at Epsom last time and this ground holds no fears. Albishr could be dangerous if allowed a soft lead but Moore and O’Brien look to hold the aces with Kew Gardens. KEW GARDENS (WIN)

14:05 York Big Country appears to reserve his best for this venue and could bounce back having been disappointing the last day, best suited by being on or near the pace this looks a good chance for him to dictate though his mark makes life tough. Dark Red has been fairly consistent this term and probably deserves another win, connections decision to put the first time blinkers on could prove to be a master stroke and he holds every chance. Anythingtoday has some decent form to his name and is open to more improvement than most, nicely weighted and only three, he is taken to strike late. Chelsea Lad is in and out and rather frustrating from a punters perspective, he has plenty of form to run well however. ANYTHINGTODAY (WIN)

14:25 Newmarket Ghaiyyath only won a maiden last time but he did it in such style that a crack at a race like this looked the logical next step, well bred and related to winners there is every chance he will prove good enough and he is the selection. Purser was entitled to bolt up at Lingfield last time and he duly did, perhaps slightly unlucky in the Solario the time before he looks to hold every chance today and respect is afforded. Arbalet and Dream Today have shown enough to be considered though Wafy looks the likely dark horse. GHAIYYATH (WIN)

14:40 York Shabaaby has been so impressive the last twice that taking him on here appears very difficult, seemingly best suited by decent or softer ground, he will get that today and is taken to rack up a third successive victory. Staxton and Dance Diva have bits and bobs of form to play a major part should the favourite flop, both will need that to happen however and perhaps the most interesting outsider is the lightly raced Barton Mills. SHABAABY (WIN)

15:00 Newmarket All eyes will likely be fixed on the unbeaten Expert Eye here and there is every chance he will prove too good, from the Stoute yard he looks to have superstar potential and his form has worked out, from a punting point of view however he lacks value so though he is expected to go very close, we shall take him on. Emaraaty made all last time and did so in the style of a big improver, in the deep end today he will have to improve appreciably but he gets our vote. Seahenge won the Champagne Stakes last time and is respected though Moore obviously thinks U S Navy Flag has better chances. EMARAATY (WIN)

15:15 York Spring Loaded has always had plenty of ability but has somehow managed to not show it more often than not, best suited coming off a hard pace he finally came good when bolting up at Doncaster last time. The handicapper showed his dislike for that impressive victory by hiking him up 9lbs, despite that and the fact he rarely backs up efforts he is very hard to get away from and is taken to follow up. Flying Pursuit has been in cracking form and needs respecting, similar comments also apply to Upstaging, Al Qahwa and Stake Acclaim. SPRING LOADED (WIN) – NAP

15:40 Newmarket A brutal renewal of the Cesarewitch though if ante post money is anything to go by, John Constable must be working well at home. From the yard of Evan Williams and a Graded winner over timber, it has to be said he looks to be on a very tempting mark if translating that ability to the level. Who Dares Wins won the trial for this over course and distance and looks an obvious player today, his penalty for that could prove troublesome however. Shrewd has something to find with Who Dares Wins though this has always looked like the plan and his handler knows how to land these big handicaps. Time To Study, Swamp Fox and Byron Flyer have something to be recommended on but Shrewd gets the nod. SHREWD (E/W)
