13:45 Doncaster Rebel Assault is already a winner at this level and over the trip, from the Johnston yard she appears more exposed than most of her rivals today although her proven form counts for plenty against these. Mutaaqeb was backed and duly made a winning debut at Yarmouth last month, green throughout he buckled down nicely in the end and is taken to follow up. Staxton and Neola have form in and around this grade, both have claims though this does look open to anything. MUTAAQEB (WIN)
14:00 Cheltenham Coologue took this last season off a 1lb lower mark and bids to follow up with Richard Johnson once again booked for the ride, probably best caught fresh it would be no susrprise if he went close again under suitable conditions and resepect is afforded. Perfect Candidate can be hit and miss though when he’s on he can be very impressive, a proven winner here his chance shouldnt be ignored despite his fancy price. Singlefarmpayment, Cogry and Viconte De Noyer deserve a mention and could go well though Coologue gets the nod. COOLOGUE (E/W)
14:15 Newbury Frontiersman may prefer a sounder surface than he will get today but as a proven type over the course and at the trip he is difficult to ignore. Strong at the finish when coping with good to soft at Newmarket last time there is every hope he will get away with this ground, on that basis he gets a narrow vote. Danehill Kodiac should have no issue with the ground and he was impressive when taking the scalp of Waldgeist last time, questioning the validity of that success sounds harsh so respect is granted. What About Carlo generally performs well when there is cut, this requires a career best however. FRONTIERSMAN (WIN)
14:35 Cheltenham Despite the shocking numerical turnout this could prove troublesome to decipher and a likely tactical affair awaits. Irish challenger Twobeelucky has impressed in all three starts over timber to date and is a very big player for Henry De Bromhead, failry useful on the level it is unlikely connections have got anywhere near the bottom of him and he looks certain to be there come the end. Golden Jeffrey has yet to tackle opposition like today but he is two from three over timber and his yard have been amongst the winners. Bedrock is another former flat racer and he gets the nod having competed in much better races than this, a repeat of his fine third in the Doombar at Aintree would surely be enough, as such he is the selection. BEDROCK (WIN)
14:50 Newbury Mythical Magic probably ran as well as could be expected when failing to make a real impact in a Group1 at Chantilly last time and has his sights significantly lowered here. Progressive and with plenty of likable form in the book it is hard to take on the Godolphin challenger and we wont. Nebo has plenty of form at and around this level and is another likely to play a part, the ground would be a slight concern however. MYTHICAL MAGIC (WIN)
15:10 Cheltenham Yet another brutally tough contest to decipher but Le Prezien is given a tentative vote to strike for trainer Paul Nicholls, whom is currently operating at over a 30% strike rate. Double W’s jumps with real vigour and is a very big form player, recently given a spin at Kelso you rather suspect he will come on for that, he will have to however and he has disappointed here a few times before. Vaniteux was formerly trained by Nicky Henderson, useful on his day you rather suspect he keeps a little for himself though if anyone can eke out extra improvement David Pipe looks as likely a trainer as any. Cobra De Mai, Foxtail Hill and Sizing Platinum all have claims though Le Prezien is taken to find the required improvement. LE PREZIEN (WIN)
15:25 Doncaster All eyes here will be fixed on the Aidan O’Brien challengers as he bids to land a record breaking 26th Group1 of the season. Reliant upon Saxon Warrior, The Pentagon, Seahenge and Coat Of Arms it would take a brave man to think the record shall not be broken, at a push however Saxon Warrior makes most appeal of his challengers and arrives here unbeaten and on the back of a smooth success at Naas last time. Verbal Dexterity was beaten by Beckford two starts back but turned the tables in devastating fashion when romping home in the National Stakes last time, that form probably ranks as the best on offer in this and as such he is taken to spoil the O’Brien party. Roaring Lion is unbeaten in three and from the yard of master handler John Gosden, his form needs improving upon to land this though it is possible. VERBAL DEXTERITY (WIN)
15:45 Cheltenham The last of our visits to Cheltenham and as earlier, things get no easier for punters with yet another devilishly difficult race to pick apart. Tempestatefloresco has been in cracking form during the summer months and bounced back to form when winning easily at Ludlow the last day, a rare disappointing effort was put in the time before though he can be forgiven that as plenty fail to act around Listowel. Seemingly unfazed by hurdles or fences it will be interesting to see how Colin Tizzard’s challenger goes, he makes appeal at the odds however and is taken to run into at least a place. Holly Bush Henry wont lack for fitness and has won his last two, this represents a step up though he shouldnt be dismissed out of hand. Thomas Campbell, Stick To The Plan and Solstice Star represent yards that know how to land races like this and are respected. TEMPESTATEFLORESCO (E/W)
16:00 Doncaster Spring Loaded won the Portland here two starts back and was very impressive when doing so, slightly unlucky with how far back he got the last day you could hardly say the handicapper has his grip as of yet though he must be getting close. Paddy Power has won his last two and goes back up in class today, ideally suited by a strong pace he will need luck in the run but arrives here having had his form franked. Boundsy, East Street Revue and Erissimus Maximus are in fine form and warrant a fair level of respect though Spring Loaded looks worth another chance. SPRING LOADED (WIN) – NAP
