16:10 Haydock – Sprint Cup

We end today’s live racing action on ITV with a Group 1 sprint contest. Unfortunately Advertise is now a non runner but it should make this an easier affair for the rest of the runners. The three at the head of the market are hard to see past and as such I’d be shocked if neither Khaadem, Ten Sovereigns or Dream Of Dreams came out on top. Khaadem won The Stewards Cup with ease when last seen and everyone in attendance and watching from home certainly stood to attention with that performance. It was hard not to be impressed but this race looks an entirely different proposition and although he deserves his shot can’t be backed as a race favourite. Ten Sovereigns has a Group 1 success to his name so far and certainly has the pedigree but this ground is starting to be a concern. The Ballydoyle runner has obvious claims but is the rain enough to put pay to his chances? This then leaves me with Dream Of Dreams. A winner on soft ground who, despite disappointing last time out has come very close at the top table including at Royal Ascot. The outsider of the three but to me ticks more of the boxes. At a larger price The Tin Man should have enough to win this race if anywhere near his best but for punters looking for an Each Way shout I couldn’t put them off the James Fanshawe runner.
