TUESDAY RACING TIPS

15.00 Taunton

Highest Sun is very interesting in this staying chase especially as he's changed yards from the Tizzard's to Tom Lacey and that could revitalize him. It feels like he’s been around for a while, but he’s still only eight years old and as long as the ground stays on the good side, he’s certainly handicapped to go close in this.

Topofthecotswolds could be his main danger. He has run in some very competitive races of late and this represents a drop in class. He should appreciate decent ground and is likely to chase home the selection.

Slate House seems to be struggling to rediscover his old form and Revels Hill was running ok until unseating last time, but the winner of that race did nothing for the form next time so minor money looks the best the pair can hope for.

HIGHEST SUN (WIN)

15:20 Market Rasen

Guetapan Collonges is an improving type. He won comfortably last time and has been put up nine pounds accordingly. It wasn’t the strongest event, but he’s a work in progress and a further step up in trip should suit.

However the value may come with Animal. Again his victory last time wasn’t in the strongest company, but he had been threatening to come good and won at Fakenham with relative ease. He went up seven pounds for that, but he looks like his limit may be significantly higher than his current mark.

The others look woefully out of form so the two six year old improvers look to have it between them.
