A two mile handicap chase where Out On The Tear bids to win this event again after being victorious here twelve months ago.
He’s not going to represent much in the way of value, but he ticks lots of boxes. He has run two respectable so far this season in slightly better races than this. The handicapper has been slightly generous in dropping him four pounds in those two races, and this seven year old has an awful lot going for him.
So who’s the most likely to chase him home?
Well, Full Of Surprises has won a novice hurdle here, but she’s finished behind a lot of horses since then. Interesting that connections are persevering, and maybe a wind op may see a revival.
Relkadam is a horse that’s becoming well handicapped. He will need to up his game, but he does like it around here, and he’s an obvious choice to follow the selection home.

A one mile handicap sees Harry George drop into this 0-60 grade for the first time in a while.
A seven year old now and possibly not quite the force he was, but this looks the easiest opportunity presented to him for some time.
He showed there was still plenty of fire in his belly in a first time visor (wears again) over this course and distance against better rivals than he faces here.
A low draw is a slight concern over this straight mile, but surely if he’s going to venture into the winners enclosure once more, it should be here.
Potential dangers include Velma, a fellow course and distance winner who is feasibly handicapped and ran well here last time.
Big Dutchie could also have a say. He seems to be improving with racing. He’s only rated 44 however so it’s hardly inspirational stuff.
