Three runner races are not usually the most attractive betting opportunity, but there’s definitely an angle in this novice chase.
Cornerstone Lad is an admirable type, but the key to him is surely the ground rather than the trip.
Obviously a lot depends on the weather, but the current going description of good to soft will not be to his advantage.
Mackenberg who comfortably beat the aforementioned last time out, has certainly got a decent chance of confirming that form despite a sizeable swing in the weights.
A chance is taken with Nero Rock, who could be some value despite having plenty to find on official ratings. It could just be however that he has the ability to handle the conditions the best out of these three runners.
NERO ROCK (WIN)

True Mason is absolutely thrown in here on bits and pieces of his best form. The straight six will suit as will the likely decent tempo. However his record of one win from thirty two starts is off putting.
The Cola Kid has been going through the motions lately, but his mark is sliding. These sprinters who are exposed need to get to marks where they can be competitive, and he’s reaching that point.
One Hart looks the best option here. He has been running consistently well and this looks like a good opportunity to strike. Again he’s not the most prolific winner, but this race is winnable and with a nice draw and a step back up to six, he’s the selection.
ONE HART (WIN)
