A competitive little handicap hurdle over two miles.
Top weight Ajero looked really progressive last season. Kim Baileys runners have been a little in and out as the season gets going in earnest. His latest start was disappointing but it was on soft ground and a return to a sounder surface should see a better effort.
Sage Advice would have a chance if repeating his sixth in the Boodles at the festival.
Takeit Easy is the selection. He was impressive in winning at Wetherby when beating a promising improving rival. He’s only been put up two pounds for that victory and this course and distance winner looks the way to go.

A four runner contest staying handicap chase.
On first glance this looks a fairly uninspiring contest, with four seemingly out of form rivals.
However, they are four incredibly well handicapped horses, so which one will turn up?
Kilfilum Cross finished section in a Kim Muir in 2020 off an eleven pound higher mark, but looks to have lost the plot completely and hasn’t replicated that form since.
Militarian usually faces stiff tasks in races he can’t conceivably win, but usually runs with credit.
Surely though if Soupy Soups is ever going to get back on the winners rostrum, it will be in this event. He is too well handicapped to ignore and has his ideal conditions
The small field will help and hopefully he will benefit from a positive ride for an in form stable.
