TUESDAY JUMPS RACING TIPS

16:15 Huntingdon

A two and a half mile handicap hurdle is one of the more competitive races on the card.

Midnight Jewel is in great form currently. Despite going up in the weights due to winning two of his last three races, he still looks relatively well weighted. A five year old by Midnight Legend, whose progeny generally enjoy a decent surface, looks sure to go close.

Deputy Jones is interesting on the basis that he looked likely to go close at Perth until crashing out. If none the worse for that he’s another with a chance.

Maisie Mix is going to be the each way selection in this one. A little imagination is required to think this horse is going to take a hand however despite taking a while to come to hand being an eight year old there were glimmers of ability in her maiden hurdles and she's set to line up in her handicap debut off a basement mark.

She has a nice pedigree and most interestingly has traveled a long way from the Welsh yard of Christian Williams.

The penultimate race of the meeting where Blue Sans and Presenting Yeats will likely be the two horses at the top of the market and it’s easy to see why. They are both in decent form and neither have been unduly punished by the handicapper for their recent exploits.

Neither however are likely to be attractive prices, so some value is sought elsewhere.

As long as the eight runners hold their ground Neverbeen To Paris might be some value at double figure odds (at the time of writing). His form is a little in and out, but there’s no doubting he is becoming well handicapped and this definitely represents a drop in grade. If he turns up somewhere near his A game, there’s every chance he will go close.
