THURSDAY RACING TIPS

14:50 Newcastle

Dragons Will Rise is a prior course and distance winner who was only just over a length away from the winner when fourth at Wolves when last seen. That was his first run for six months and that run proved he can be competitive off this sort of mark when competing on an AW surface so he would need to be considered in a race of this nature, however ready preference is for Jomont who arrives here looking for a hat-trick of course and distance successes and has only gone up 1lbs for victory in a higher grade last time out. He’s had a few weeks break to get over that effort and looks to have a great chance of another victory here.

JOMONT (WIN)

18:00 Chelmsford

Hathlool was all out to gain victory at Wolves when last seen and has gone up 3lbs for that effort, however beat a number of higher rated rivals in the process (including the re-opposing Athmad) and the second placed runner followed up with victory next time out so there is every chance he is capable of backing up that performance with another victory here, especially when considering he is also a prior winner over track and trip.

The main danger looks to be Alhammaam who has made the fame over this trip when racing on turf and has been holding his form well over shorter distances since switching stables, posting results of 3212. His sole victory came over six furlongs but there is every chance the step up in trip could eke out further improvement.

HATHLOOL (WIN)
